Although going on a juicing diet can make it easy to detoxify your body, making homemade juices has many other benefits besides helping you lose weight.
Here’s a list of some of our favorite juices to combat heat and dehydration.
Melon Green Juice with Chia Seeds
- 1 cucumber
- Big handful of spinach (2/3 bunch)
- Handful of mint (3 to 4 leaves)
- 1/2 cup cubed cantaloupe
- 1/2 cup cubed watermelon
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 cup chia seeds, soaked overnight and drained
Believe it or not, chia seeds have amazing hydrating properties that get released when you soak them. After washing your veggies, peeling your fruits, and running everything through the juicer, add the salt and the soaked chia seeds and you’ll have a super hydrating green juice with an amazing texture.
- ½ cucumber
- ½ apple
- A few chunks of pineapple
This very simple 3-ingredient recipe recommended by celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas is not only refreshing, but it also has plenty of benefits for your skin, since the enzymes in pineapples promote good skin, and cucumbers and apples are skin-purifiers that help boost hydration.
- 2 Oranges
- 4 Carrots
- 1 Grapefruit
- 1 Small yellow beet
Since grapefruits and oranges have a very high water content, this juice had to make it to the list. Carrots and beets are also packed with beta-carotene, fiber and vitamin A, which means this juice will also give your skin a boost, and help improve your digestion.
We hope you like these recipes and incorporate some of them to your list of healthy summer snacks. If you’re planning on adopting a juicing diet with the purpose of detoxifying your system, you can supplement it with our Moringa Detox and Wellness Tea.
