5 Tips for Healthy Teeth

A healthy mouth equals a healthy body.

Taking good care of your teeth ensures you to have a white and nice smile. Everything we ingest comes through our mouths first, meaning everything we eat not only effects our mouth, but also our body. Since our mouth is the pathway to our body, diseases can easily be passed on. Here are some tips of how to keep healthy teeth:

1. Floss
Flossing is an important part of taking care of your teeth and gums. Anything your toothbrush can not remove, floss is there to help get rid of any plaque. Doesn’t matter when, you should try to floss at least once a day.

2. Limit acidic drinks like soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices.
Drinking liquids that contain acidic can easily attack our teeth.
They are able to soften our tooth material by dissolving minerals in our tooth enamel. This can cause serious damage and even cavities.

3. Brush your teeth with baking soda once a week
In addition to brushing your teeth baking soda will remove stains and whiten your teeth. Brush it on your teeth and make sure to spit it out. Salt can be an alternative, if your gum starts to feel raw.

4. Change your toothbrush
If you have an electric toothbrush, make sure to change the head every 2 to 3 months. Your toothbrush can be loaded with bacteria and germs. Once the bristles spew in different directions, you know it’s time to replace your old toothbrush.

5.Go on a white-teeth diet
If you can not live without coffee or having a glass of red wine after work, you should immediately brush your teeth after eating or drinking those foods. They will prevent you from having a bright and white smile. If you don’t have a toothbrush handy, an apple will do too.
